We are thrilled to announce that on January 1st, 2025, the Reverend Canon Dr. Osita Oluigbo will be joining our community. This marks a significant moment for our parish and we are incredibly enthusiastic about the leadership, wisdom, and spiritual guidance he will bring. To accommodate this exciting transition, our service time will be shifting to 9:15 AM, starting on Sunday January 5th.
We believe this new time will allow more of our community to participate in worship and fellowship. We are looking forward with great anticipation to the changes and vibrant new ministries that will flourish at St. Mark's under Rev. Osista's direction. We invite you to join us in welcoming him and embracing this new era together.
Before moving to the Diocese of Huron, Osita was rector of a church in Sidney, B.C., for several years, and before that served in Nigeria, where he was ordained.
We will be sharing his ministry with Ascension. We will not be a 2-point parish, but rather 2 separate parishes sharing a priest.
